Christina Spencer is the founder and principle designer for                 Riverside ReDesigns, a Jacksonville based home staging and redesign firm.

She has been the featured designer for multiple episodes of DIY Network’s, “The Treehouse Guys.”  Recently Christina was honored to be invited to join the Interior Design Advisory Committee Board at Florida State College of Jacksonville as a home staging representative, and has been a guest speaker for the college’s home staging course.  Christina is also a student member of ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) and RESA (Real Estate Staging Association).

A fourth generation Floridian, Christina has found beauty all around her in the Southern lush landscape that is prevalent in her hometown of DeLand,FL.  Having a mother that had her own design business, Christina grew up with a love of design as she followed her mother, roaming through dusty antique stores and fabric warehouses.

While attending Florida State University, she studied art history abroad in Florence, Italy where her passion for architecture and design flourished. In her travels through Europe, Australia, New Zealand and throughout America, her eye for mixing styles, old and new was refined.

With a degree in Public Relations, a career in radio advertising sales in Atlanta, GA and a move to Phoenix, AZ for her husband, Michael’s job – the design pull was strong! Before HGTV made home staging a “thing” Christina pulled on the years of exposure to the principles and elements of design she learned abroad and assisting her mother’s business to stage their Phoenix home to sell.  The home was in a cookie cutter neighborhood, during the downturn of the market – their house sold within the first month. The other homes for sale in the neighborhood were identical and had been on the market for 10-15 months with no offers. The list prices, floor plans and even the landscape were all nearly the same – the only difference was the home staging. This sealed the deal that she was meant to be in the design world!

Shortly after settling back in Florida, Riverside ReDesigns was born.

Since then, Christina has continued her education in the Interior Design program at Florida State College of Jacksonville and has several certifications in Home Staging. She believes in mixing old and new, spending money on special pieces and saving where you can and layering a home with unique accessories to create a personalized environment. She believes that 90% of home buyers can not visualize the potential of a home, and believes in creating a story with vignettes and accessories to help buyers see that vision and fall in love with a home. She believes that your home should be a reflection of you and can be both beautiful and comfortable. Christina sees herself as a problem solver helping others to create beautiful spaces either to sell or live in.
